How much does Convilyn cost, and is there a free plan?
Convilyn offers three plans: Free ($0), Pro ($16/month or $12/month billed yearly), and Business ($35/month or $29.75/month billed yearly). Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance for AI processing (30, 2,000, and 5,000 credits respectively, where 1 credit = $0.01 of insured cost). All paid plans include a 30-day free trial. File conversions remain unlimited regardless of plan.
What counts as 1 credit, and how do I know how many I'm using?
1 credit = $0.01 (one cent) of insured AI processing cost — covering AI model usage, compute, storage, and our operating margin. A typical document conversion costs about 50 credits; image OCR is around 80; a short video clip is around 400. Your dashboard shows live credit usage and remaining balance.
Do credits expire? Will unused credits roll over?
Subscription credit allowances refresh at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over. Top-up credits are added to the same balance as pure compute and do not expire at month-end. The dashboard always shows your current balance.
What happens when my 30-day free trial ends?
After the 30-day trial, your card is charged at your selected plan rate and your monthly credit allowance starts. You can cancel anytime before the trial ends to avoid charges. During the trial you get full access to all Pro features including priority queue and 500MB file uploads.
Can I cancel my Convilyn subscription at any time?
Yes. Cancellation is a single click in your account settings — no calls, emails, or hoops. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. You can also downgrade to the Free plan and keep using unlimited file conversions.
Will my plan renew automatically?
Yes. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) to ensure uninterrupted service. You can cancel anytime in account settings; the renewal disclosure is also shown on every receipt and pre-purchase summary. Top-up credit packs are one-time purchases — they do not renew.
Can I switch between plans or change my billing cycle?
Yes, you can upgrade, downgrade, or switch between monthly and yearly billing at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period. Switch to yearly billing to save up to $63/year on the Business plan.
How do I update my payment method or view invoices?
Click "Manage Subscription" on the pricing page or go to your billing dashboard. This opens our secure payment portal powered by Paddle where you can add or update credit cards, set primary and backup payment methods, and download invoices.
Is my payment information secure on Convilyn?
Yes. Convilyn uses Paddle as our payment processor and Merchant of Record. We never store your full card details — only tokenized references. All transactions are PCI DSS compliant with 256-bit SSL encryption. Your uploaded files are encrypted during transfer and automatically deleted within 1 hour after processing.
How does the EU 14-day right of withdrawal work? Are unused credits refundable?
EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal on digital services under EU Directive 2011/83/EU. At checkout, you may waive this right by expressly consenting to immediate performance — this is required to begin using paid features right away. Subscription fees are non-refundable once service has begun under a valid waiver. Unused monthly credit allowance is not refunded on cancellation (allowance is use-it-or-lose-it within each cycle).
