1. About Us

Convilyn is a file conversion service operated by CoreNovus, the domain operator of this website.

Merchant of Record and payment services are provided by Paddle.com Market Limited.

Throughout these Terms of Service ("Terms"), references to "we," "us," "our," or "the Service" refer to the Convilyn service and CoreNovus.

2. Early Access Stage

Convilyn is currently in early access. This means:

  • Features are under active development and may be incomplete, changed, or removed without prior notice
  • Service stability is not guaranteed — you may experience bugs, errors, or unexpected behavior
  • Your feedback shapes the product — we actively incorporate user suggestions into our development roadmap
  • Pricing and features may change as we continue to develop the Service

By using the Service during this early access period, you acknowledge and accept these conditions. We appreciate your patience and feedback as we work to improve Convilyn.

3. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Convilyn, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

4. Eligibility and Age Requirements

The minimum age to use this Service is 16 years old. However, if the laws of your jurisdiction set a higher minimum age for using online services or require parental consent, those local regulations take precedence.

By using this Service, you represent that you meet the age requirements applicable in your jurisdiction and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

5. Use of Service

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes
  • Not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Take responsibility for all content you upload or submit

6. Content Ownership and Results

You retain all ownership rights to the content you upload to the Service. The converted or processed results are provided to you as-is. You are solely responsible for reviewing all outputs before use and ensuring they meet your requirements.

We do not claim ownership of your content. Uploaded files are processed and temporarily stored only as necessary to provide the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by CoreNovus and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without prior written permission.

8. Subscription Plans and Pricing

Convilyn offers both free and paid subscription plans. Detailed information about features and pricing is available on our Pricing page.

  • Free Plan: Basic features with usage limits at no cost.
  • Pro Plan: Advanced features, higher limits, and priority processing for $16/month (or $12/month when billed annually at $144/year).

Prices are subject to change with reasonable advance notice. Any price changes will not affect your current billing period.

9. Payment Processing and Merchant of Record

All paid subscriptions are processed through Paddle.com Market Limited("Paddle"), which acts as our Merchant of Record (MoR). This means:

  • Paddle is the entity that sells the subscription to you and processes your payment
  • Paddle handles all payment processing, tax calculation, invoicing, and compliance with local payment regulations
  • Your payment relationship is directly with Paddle, subject to Paddle's Terms of Service
  • Paddle remits payments to us according to their payout and settlement schedule

By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete payment information to Paddle
  • Authorize recurring charges based on your selected billing cycle
  • Keep your payment method up to date
  • Pay all applicable taxes as determined by Paddle based on your location

10. Free Trial

New Pro subscribers may receive a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription, and Paddle will charge your payment method.

11. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon cancellation:

  • You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
  • No further charges will be made after cancellation

12. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice. We are not liable for any interruptions, outages, or changes to the Service.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times, or that the results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CORENOVUS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

15. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct that may harm the Service or other users.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Taiwan. The Taiwan District Court shall have jurisdiction as the court of first instance.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the effective date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
